With her squeaky-clean Disney image given a dash of pepper last year via the internet release of her now infamous nude self-portraits, 20-year-old Vanessa Hudgens’s career has since rebounded, landing her as one of Tinseltown’s most recognizable and sought after faces.

Rumored during the scandal to replace Hudgens in “High School Musical 3″ was Disney’s “Cheetah Girls” star Adrienne Bailon, who recently had provocative pictures of herself “inadvertently” spread across the internet as well, making us wonder…will stolen laptop pics be the star-makers of the future? Vanessa Hudgens carries taser gun to keep bad guys at bay

London, Apr 9: Muggers and robbers need to think twice before they go near actress Vanessa Hudgens, for the ‘High School Musical’ star now keeps herself armed with a taser gun.

The 20-year-old star has recently bought a new Hollywood home, and has confessed that she feels vulnerable living on her own.

To avert any potential danger, the Disney starlet has splashed out on a gun that will zap bad guys with a painful blast of electricity.

“I keep a taser in my purse for self-defence,” the Daily Express quoted Hudgens as telling Us Weekly magazine.

She added: “I’m moving into a house by myself and it’s scary.” Source

And on other news, Vanessa finally has her insights spoken about the rumors going on about her being Leah Clearwater in the sequels of Twilight – New Moon and Eclipse. She’s interested, but no one is definitely sure that she will be getting the part since the role of Leah won’t happen until Eclipse is being made. “It’s still a rumor; I’m really interested. I think it’s a great project but nothing’s happening as of now.” She said in an interview in Extra. Well, she did her part in reading the series and “Yes, love it,” she said. “My sister has read all of the books too.”

Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter of New Moon and Eclipse – the third installment – had cleared a little things about the rumor. “I’m not sure about [final] casting, but I had heard Vanessa Hudgens was going up for the part of Leah. But at the moment, the part of Leah doesn’t happen until the third movie.” We’ll just have to wait and see if being a werewolf is her new project. And don’t forget that we’re also waiting for more news if she gets to be a dead teenager who will rise back from the death to save people in Dead @ 17.
